Spring 2016

With more Forging the Future construction to come, expect to see Norwich engineering, construction management, and business faculty continue to use campus building projects as real-world classrooms. Stephen Fitzhugh, Tara Kulkarni, Michael Puddicombe, and Mike Kelley are among the faculty who often take their students out and about on campus. Civil engineering professor Kulkarni, for example, has prompted her students to analyze the heating systems at the campus biomass plant, tasking them to suggest improvements to boost efficiency. “They’re out and about all the time and are very active,” says Norwich Chief Administrative Officer Dave Magida. “They’re producing valuable information for us.”
